Tango founder Mikami “shocked” by studio closure

The founding father of Tango Gameworks, Shinji Mikami, has mentioned that he was shocked by Microsoft’s choice to shut the studio. 

Chatting with IGN, the Japanese growth vet mentioned that he thought that the outfit can be protected as long as it continued making video games within the Hello-Fi Rush sequence. He added that this was a part of the explanation he left the studio. 

“I had thought the studio can be protected so long as they continued to make Hello-Fi Rush video games,” mentioned Mikami. 

“That is one of many causes I left Tango Gameworks. So I used to be shocked when the studio was closed down.”

Nevertheless, he’s glad that Korean video games agency Krafton has acquired the studio and the Hello-Fi Rush IP.
